There are a lot of things I don't get these days and one of them is what's going to actually happen to the $700 billion the Treasury Secretary wants for a bailout. Here are a few of my questions:
Where's the money going?
Who's actually getting it?
Are the people who defaulted on the loans that created the mess to begin with getting any of it? If so, who are they and why are they getting it? In fact is the assumption that the mess was created by bad loans correct? If not, what did do it?
What will happen if Congress says 'NO'? A free market is just that, free. Let the chips fall where they may.
Just a few questions. I'll let you know what I find out.
