Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day.  Let's take a minute to acknowledge the sacrifice made by so many for all of us.  

There seems to be a little confusion about the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day.  For example I hear on TV and I see posts on Facebook where people are thanking all veterans for their service. Being a veteran, I say you're welcome but I don't feel I've earned the right to be lumped in with Memorial Day veterans.  

Veterans Day is for all who have served.  But Memorial Day is for those who gave their lives in the service of their country.  There's a very big difference.

It's certainly not an issue to start arguments over but I think the distinction is important.
